The only time you will see them is when you are being welcomed into the home! :) Other things to note: The Owner Suite has a king size bed. The second bedroom has a queen size bed with a twin trundle bed. The other two rooms beside the turret both have queen size beds. The Bonus room (bonus) has a queen pull out sofa which could sleep two, a chaise and another section of the sofa which could fit two more. We will provide 3 air mattresses which could be placed in this bonus room or in the turret or anywhere around the house it could fit, making the total # of occupants 15. Note that there is no bedroom on the first floor. There is an office which will be locked. There is a gym area in garage by the pool table which has an elliptical machine, a weight machine, an ab toner stand and a cycling machine. We also have a ping pong table and poker game. The air filters are always brand new for each new guests. Two Enerzen Commercial Ozone Generator are run for 3 hours on both floors to purify, deodorize and sterilize the property. We also make sure all high touch areas are sanitized before leaving the home. The homes kitchen appliances were just recently upgraded (Dec 2020) with brand new 48" SubZero fridge, Wolf stove, microwave and oven and a Cove dishwasher. These are top of the line appliances. The property is also now gated with a custom designed wrought iron fence. Right now, it is manually operated. Please close it before going to bed at night for extra security. There are now 6 organic raised plant beds in the property which may have veggies (mustard greens, collard greens, kale etc), herbs (oregano, thyme, basil, lemongrass) and tomatoes in there. Please feel free to have some. We also have a compost bin to put organic waste in. Our water source is from a 200 ft deep well which has been tested for lead, nitrate and nitrate. The homes was also tested for radon gas. All results showed no problems. Our grass is a combo of wild grass and Bermuda. We don’t apply any chemical fertilizer on the grass. The fenced pool is separate from the fenced backyard, so our visiting families with small children can enjoy the backyard without the worry of the pool. The pool measures 14 ft. x 30 ft. with a maximum depth of 5.5 ft. With a large sun-shelf on one end. The 1000 sq. ft. decking around the secured pool area has 4 adjustable lounge chairs, 2 chairs, (2) 9ft. umbrellas, 4 floating chairs and other pool toys all to make sure you have a most enjoyable and relaxing experience at our new saltwater-heated pool. The pool will be closed December, January and February. The two car garage has plenty of room even for the big cars and the driveway has ample parking. We do allow no more than 2 small up to 30 lbs. dogs only. NO CATS! There is a $150 fee. You must add them to your reservation. They must have a current rabies vaccination. They must be crate trained and well behaved. We provide a very large crate with bedding, dog bowls, waterproof pet covers for them to lay on and a soggy dog for drying wet paws. Your fur baby must be freshly groomed prior to entering the house. They must not be left alone in the house, screened in porch or yard. If you need to leave them they must be safely in the crate. As beautiful as the house is, it is a strange place to them. Please respect our rules so we can continue to offer this to other guests. Lake Lynn Park is only 1/2 a mile down the road. With a 2.5 mile trail around the lake, tennis courts and play ground getting outdoors for a little exercise is just down the road. Once you're settled into the retreat, it is very private and for 7 or 8 months out of the year, you can't see any homes from this property and nobody can see in to invade your space. We are also far enough away from the city that it's not unusual to see deer, hawks,foxes, possums, feral cats and other sorts of wild life that roam the property freely. The property is also set up with multiple bird feeders, and when sitting on the deck it's quite entertaining, especially watching the squirrels trying to figure out the feeders. We set this unit up with the European open feel to it. Both my wife and I are into Feng Shui and we had an expert come in and walk the property before we submitted the final design. Open and spacious and breezy. Since it's part of a duplex set-up there is a set of soundproofed doors That not only separates the two sides but blocks out almost all but the unusually loud noises. You'll feel like you're in the woods but you're actually only two minutes away from groceries and five minutes from many restaurants. Owls and hawks are our constant companions and we often have deer and foxes that roam the grounds. In the summer you can enjoy the saltwater pool, fire pit and table tennis right outside the doors and in winter the mineral bath hot tub allows continuous enjoyment of the outdoors. We do change the hottub water with each new guest. When using the hottub, most nites the moon is directly overhead and with the lites on in and around the pool the backyard light set-up is something else. Gas heat in the house makes things cozy and warm in the winter, along with beautiful gas logs in the fireplace. The house is fully furnished and has everything you need for a comfortable and easy stay. The kitchen is well equipped with all the dinnerware and cookware you'll need, including a blender, rice maker, and Oster coffeemaker. We have an under the house water filter at the kitchen sink and also connected to the the refrigerator for clean, clear water for drinking or cooking. The appliances include a new gas Samsung convection type range, Bosch dishwasher, a Breville countertop oven, and a GE Profile microwave. The main living area has an open floor plan that includes the kitchen, dining area, living room, and a sunroom extending into the backyard. My wife and I lived there for 26 years and we set this up as a Florida house and every time we did any renovations we always brought a Feng Shui expert in to get their take so the flow of the space is comfortable and relaxing as well as pleasing to the eye! As soon as you walk in the front door you'll hopefully feel the warm and welcoming character of the home. My wife and I planned to retire in this house but other plans were in the works. The master bedroom has a cathedral ceiling and sliding glass Patio doors that open out to a 12'x12' 3 tiered deck that leads out to a stone path that then takes you to the hot tub.The deck has two rockers and a table for lounging around or fun happy hours. Bird watching abounds. We also have a Boise radio/CD player in the bedroom as well as plugs for your electronics.. Each of the 3 bedrooms has a ceiling fan, with dressers and bedside lamps. The bed in the master is a romantic yet unpretentious canopy bed made by a local furniture maker. We have a 14" memory foam mattress, great pillows, and comfortable linens that make for a nice sleeps. The master bathroom is spacious and open with a walk-in shower and two separate sinks so two people can be in there at the same time and not feel crowded plus their is privacy between the tow sinks, it's nice in the morning until our faces have had a chance to catch up with the day. Ceiling fans are in all three bedrooms to keep you cool or just provide a gentle breeze if you like the feel of moving air, rather than quiet air. We also have a whole house fan that we use in the spring and fall. It's a comfortable set-up when you open a couple of windows strategically that allows for a nice cool air flow through the entire house. The second and third bedrooms both have a dresser and closet space. One of these bedrooms has a full size bed with a very comfortable mattress and the other bedroom has a king sized bed that can also be used as two twins if requested. The linens and towels are very soft and luxurious and we set our guests up with six sets of these unless you need more? The backyard is a little oasis with outdoor lighting, comfortable patio furniture, five bird feeders and two birdbaths that make for interesting bird watching. And let's not forget the hummingbird feeders. In the cool months of fall and spring, enjoy a fire in the fire pit under the stars as well as the hot tub! We love the backyard and find it a wonderful haven for relaxing, good conversation, fun gatherings, and playful exchanges in the hot tub, fire pit or around the table tennis. We also have separate washer and dryer combo and iron and ironing board vacuum cleaner and all the cleaning supplies one might want. . This home will make you feel like you're miles from it all but allows for a very easy day-to-day living experience, with groceries, restaurants, and everything you might need within a 5-10 minute drive from the house. If you like to go to the movies there are several theaters close by or you can stay home and enjoy a movie on the 55' HD TV complete with bluetooth set-up and surround sound and a sub woofer. We also have a DVD player tied into our receiver which seems to take all the latest apps. We offer Apple TV and airplay as well. In the kitchen area we have a 21.5 iMac with an attached Brother printer/scanner. If you like to take walks, the neighborhood is very welcoming and a great place to walk, or you can drive about a mile away to Lake Lynn where you can take a 2&1/2 mile walk around a beautiful lake and see geese, ducks, herons, snapping turtles, and all kinds of other birds.
